Holocracy - Whats Next?

TO Tom Oliveri Public Seen by 7

Glassfrog - Can we get a concession for being a non profit?

Next meeting date - When is it / should we pre-prepare?

What do we need to do to get the ball rolling here?

Yep am waiting on Stephan. Will email him now.

What we all need to do is familiarise ourselves with Glass Frog and the holacracy constitution.

The work Emma started is fundamental also

From Stephan:
I will send you the Initial circle template and structure so we can get some idea of start up roles and the circles purpose.
After Tuesday: First tactical meeting
Following week: Governance training and meeting (2 hour session needed)

So will arrange next meeting for late next week.

Yes we will need to be fully trained in Glass Frog - hopefully the training will be provided for free... GlassFrog is a piece of software that creates an online working space - very similar to loomio but its way way more sophisticated and complicated and has the functionality that is needed by huge multinational companies that need an online workspace - such as their largest client Zappo which is a subsidary of Amazon.com.. i think its definately what we need!

Update, Stephan is taking time to get on with this. I appreciate his offer to help us out and don't want to be a nag with him but follow through is necessary.

I had a chat to Joum and came up with lets continue with holacracy regardless rather than relying on him 100%. He will come good and help us along, this time of year is typically very busy for most businesses.

So I will call a meeting for next week and we can do our best with holacracy procedure and improve as Stephan comes good. I have opened a glassfrog account to have a look at it and recommend everyone familiarising yourself with it. It looks great!

Regular ODD workers are now in the glass frog software. Stephan is allowing us to use his account so no cost to us for the next few months. Stephen Joum and myself went through the program and started allocating roles to people so have a look and let me know of any changes. The program is really neat, it takes you through a meeting holacracy style step by step, records decisions, emails you what was decided etc and puts follow ups on the agenda for next meeting automaticly. I will email out next meeting date soon.

Hi all,

My apologies for not being very present lately, I am just a bit overwhelmed with stuff at the moment. I am working through Christmas and so hopefully won’t be
as flat out as I have been, and will take some time to go through everything including glass frog.

Cheers,

Em

@emmawardle. I think we are all a little busy. I am plugging away at my comfortable pace. ODD it not the only passion/responsibility in my life. I also have: work, family, friends and other ambitions.

We seem to have a good group who does not make expectations of people other than what we commit ourselves to contribute. I have varied my commitment and I see all of us do the same. Sometimes we give more than our fair share and sometimes we don't. It is great that we have our core group who give plenty. It is our continual contributions that will build the idea of OnlineDirectDemocracy into a powerful reality. If enough of us continue to make the effort, we will succeed; but it does not need to be a continues stream.

I, too, am learning GlassFrog. I think it will give us the ability to attenuate the level of commitment we pledge to give.
I think there is a lot for us all to learn about Holocracy. In the beginning that will be a big part of our energy contribution and I think the process will also facilitate the progress of many ODD objectives.

I am going travel starting Friday. First I am visiting Paul, which will be great. The rest is Christmas and family, which is also great.

I will probably continue to post, or I may not... who knows.

I wish you all a beautiful giving/receiving festive season. It is great to be part of the ODD family (lol).
