Why can't I contribute?
How do you get accepted to contribute the policy incubator?

Can you please clarify the problem you're facing? You should be able to start a new discussion and contribute to others.

Hey Vikram
Sure, when I try to comment on someone else's discussion ... I get it. "The
discussion period for that topic is closed."
It's a bit annoying when contributors comments suck and you can't
contributor a multiples of a subject post deleted or merged and re-opened?

Cheers,

Maybe some tweaking to this system? There's probably a good reason why there's limits on feedback --- but what I notice is there are tons of topics, ideas and subjects but no real commitments. Probably need deeper, longer term discussions and less of them???

It didn't work because the topic I wanted to discuss had already closed. it'd be neat if there were steps within each policy that needed to be contributed to and decided on if people disagreed or agreed with a closed decision they could leave a note on it like a (updown and sideways vote) comments even but on rather then in discussion.Once enough notes were collected that disagreed with the policy it would be re-opened for discussion. Policy boils down to collaboration and content curation. it'd be good to look at gitwork flows developers use as they work best collaboratively. Rather then a top down approach it's a bottom up approach. Main topics are the most polished, ideas filters up-to and becomes apart of.

Example: Look at this image while you read it'll make it much easier to understand bit.ly/1pfohuT In Stash developers work on a feature an "idea" push new code development branch where the leads either approve it or send it back for review. Once a feature is approved it moves onto the development branch then to the release branch. Next it's pushed past the hot-fix(debug) straight to Marster(Final)

On the way through these branches feature must be approved by the correct people if bugs need to be fixed at this stage the feature is pushed back to the hot fix and back into the master.

atm everything is filtering down the topic's under discussions are the ones brought to our attention but this is wrong really the best most solid/polished agreed upon policies should be top of this page under scrutiny that way they are ready for implementation.
