Balance of Feed-Back

Members' work is protected by the International Cooperative Principle of Autonomy and Independence.

At the same time, everybody needs feed-back. We have always sought a company culture full of evaluations, de-briefs and check-ins.

We set the balance that:

Every decision and activity that comes out of the Marketing Department and Creative Branch must be democratically approved by the entire Marketing Department.

Every decision and activity that comes out the Cooperative Finance Organization must be democratically approved by the entire cooperative.

Every decision and activity that comes out of the Production Branch must be in alignment with the decisions reached by the governing members of the cooperative. The long-term Managers of the cooperative that have an ownership share are empowered to make decisions regarding our products and facilities. Day-to-day decision-making for the management of Production is democratically organized by the Professional Chefs in the kitchen.

Any specific decision and activity that comes out of the Education, Training and Information Committee may be called for a vote of the entire cooperative. Therefore, this Branch is sensitive to feed-back from the co-op.

I will add that we develop a transformative feedback and assessment process and timeline for feedback process. Also folks who do that work are the experts and have the expert opinions, others are supporters offers feedback and assessments with the goals of producing the coop best possible work.
