One simpatizante of our network, David Altabev, is organising and event in Bristol this coming October. We have been invited to give a 50 min workshop on the future of work and new organisational models. Travel and accommodation is provided. Any volunteers / ideas?

Hi Franscesca, Manel

Good to meet you. I'm following up on the discussion about running a workshop session at Venturefest Bristol and Bath on October 17th, at the Watershed in Bristol. As I mentioned, there will be a theme on the Future of Work, with two presentation/panel sessions, and I thought that it would be great to have Ouishare organise a session on the future of work, around distributed leadership / organisational structures, but happy to hear suggestions. The session would run for about 50mins and would have up to 50 people. I can cover European travel and accommodation for two people.

The conference is the culmination of an extensive and wide ranging programme of activities, and will explore how businesses and technology can support the transformation of cities and places into dynamic, intelligent and autonomous places to live. The Speaker Opportunity PDF attached gives more detail on the conference, and the seminar series to date. You can view the videos and photos from our February launch event here.

Alongside Venturefest, there will be the Festival of the Future Cities as part of the Bristol Festival of ideas, which aims to be the largest public debate about the future of cities. The BBC will also be running their annual Bristol Digital Week, meaning you can make the most of your stay in Bristol for one or more days to join the other events.

Please let me know if your calendar will allow you to join us in Bristol, and if there is anything more you would like to know, I'd be happy to discuss further.

Best regards
David

I think we should focus on the emergent organisations / decentralised leadership / building communities. 50 attendees all sitting in non-movable chairs, but we should include some kind of participatory exercise to give them a taste
