Display group name being posted before discussion submit button?

A couple of weeks ago we had an issue where a private and sensitive discussion which was meant to be posted in the Enspiral -> Services Core private group but was accidentally posted to the parent Enspiral group.

This morning I've just done exactly the same thing (posting to Enspiral parent rather than Enspiral -> Core Services sub group). Fortunately this time the discussion wasn't particularly sensitive.

When getting focused writing up longer discussion topics it can be very easy to not notice that the discussion has been started in the wrong group. The natural tendency after writing a discussion is to be looking further down the screen at the submit button, rather than back at the top of the screen where the Group selection is stated.

I'm wondering if it would be sensible to have a reminder just before the submit button along the lines of:

"This discussion will be posted in the Enspiral -> Services Core group"

...just so there's a last minute self-check before someone submits a discussion to the wrong group / sub-group.

Thoughts?

I like.

I've also wondered about a little note there saying approximately 'This will notify 138 people by email'

@matthewbartlett - that is an awesome idea. Seeing the number of people about to be emailed would be another big heads up warning of an incorrect group selection.

@matthewbartlett that's a great idea building on @phillcoxon 's one. That could have flicked a lightbulb for people a couple times when they were going to hit that button at the wrong moment. Also relevant for starting a proposal!
