Titles such as “PV characterization” are everything but accessible to a broad public.
What if a grandmother or a six-year old child were able to understand what "PV" is about ?
What if they were able to say “whaoou”, which possibly could lead to “I want to take par to this adventure !” ?
Thus, I would propose to take a child gaze when we describe our activities.

Indeed. In this case "Solar Cell" would be better.

I would go far as remove the whole characterization part as well. "Solar Cell Testing" sounds so much more digestible.
