Trouble installing fresh loomio in Digital Ocean Droplet
Hi guys,
I'm trying to run a self-hosted install of loomio hosted by digital ocean following this steps: https://github.com/loomio/loomio-deploy
I've done as follows:
1 - I created the droplet choosing Ubuntu 14.04 x64
2 - configured all DNS requirements;
3 - And the, step by step as described.
I've done it three times, always destroying the droplet, building a new and started all the steps again. 2 times I got a 503 nginx error while trying to access the IP address without HTTPS and nothing with HTTPS. At the second time I got the following message: "Sure youre not looking for /faye ?"
I got this errors from docker log is:
"ERROR:acme.challenges:256: Unable to reach http://saudecomdilma.com.br/.well-known/acme-challenge/BZORdK7CvXJCGK_UXziUTn6ccxDeaRENMTUQyDAdU5I: HTTPConnectionPool(host='saudecomdilma.com.br', port=80): Max retries exceeded with url: /.well-known/acme-challenge/BZORdK7CvXJCGK_UXziUTn6ccxDeaRENMTUQyDAdU5I (Caused by NewConnectionError(': Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno -4] Non-recoverable error',))"
"ERROR:simp_le:1271: CA marked some of the authorizations as invalid, which likely means it could not access http://example.com/.well-known/acme-challenge/X. Did you set correct path in -d example.com:path or --default_root? Is there a warning log entry about unsuccessful self-verification? Are all your domains accessible from the internet? Failing authorizations: https://acme-v01.api.letsencrypt.org/acme/authz/gnkU0Qcur_ygvTZ5UMsSNvq5dL-o6IuLgzFFcjcH82A"
At least, I shoul tell you guys my domain is not fully propagated yet, so I'm accessing using the IP. But I thing this won't be the issue.
Any help? @robertguthrie
Ok, I'll wait.
Thanks @robertguthrie
Hi @robertguthrie,
I suscefully installed loomio. Congrats for the app.
However, I have no idea how to access admin UI. I saw something about modifying DB users's table... Is that still the actual solution? If so, is there any detailed wiki explaining how to?
Thanks
Hey guys,
I followed the how to from a github issue and suceed. It's at the bottom of this thread.
Now I'm trying to make some visual changes, as changing logo and colors. But can't find how to. Anyone has some tips?
Thanks
I think you could start a new thread about customising the software. There isn't good support for it right now, but people do have some experience with it.
Hi @felipecavalcanti.
LetsEncrypt needs to be able to load the site by dns to verify that the SSL certificate is going to be genuine. So your DNS does need to work.
Also the webserver depends on DNS working because it is virtualhost based.
