Roles Suggestions for the allotment designs

Allotment Crew!

I can't make the meeting on Sunday but have written up some suggestions... please have a good read through and could someone print copies for everyone at the meeting?

The Google Folder contains my suggestions for roles (Work in progress) based on the implementation plans for my design work:

Based on the feedback from people at the meeting I have added these people criteria for the design WORK.

CELEBRATE PEOPLE'S CONTRIBUTIONS
SUPPORT OLD MEMBERS TO MOVE ON WITHOUT GUILT OR FRUSTRATION
HOST NON FOOD GROWING ACTIVITIES
DOING NOTHING IS OK TOO

CREATE SHELTERED INDOOR SPACE AND ACTIVITIES

LEARN THROUGH EXPERIMENTATION

Roles and group Identity wacky suggestion

A big part of the feedback from the 1st meeting and in the original survey responses was the need for a range of different roles and levels of commitment as well as flexibility to experiment and do a range of things. There is also a desire to celebrating peoples contributions and for non food growing activities to be part of the project.

I have been thinking bout patterns in other organisations that we can copy to help us co-ordinate, celebrate and grow our capacity. My design suggestion is to use badges like the brownies/scouts to recognise when someone has taken on a role. My thought is that these would be self nominated badges and awarded by our peers when we notice each other doing something well. It would be a nice focuse of the opening and closing circles to announce or award badges of recognition. New people would get badges as soon as they arrived. They would be a fun winter project to make out of recycled materials or at footprint workers co-op they have a proper badge making dEvice which is awsome!

There are multiple functions of this idea: Celebrate when we have learnt something new or become more confident. A quirky way to communicate about our capacity and needs ("I just feel like being a weaver or healer for a while can anyone els be a Convenor." Create a stronger identity and unity around the project, creative non gardening activitie to do when the weather is bad, link us to another co-op.

This is a fairly crazy idea, will take some implementing and might be totally unnecessary so hit me with ya feedback and ideas!
