Should we change from weekly hack nights to monthly hack nights?
There has been some talk about changing the format from a weekly hack night schedule to a monthly hack night schedule for various reasons (including burnout of current staff)
Alternatively, Bryce from the Miami Ruby Brigade is continuing the weekly Ruby hack nights and has offered to make the nights a little more general. Of course, this would be a little different from our current weekly Code for Miami hack night format. What are your thoughts?

Move open hack nights from weekly to monthly. Closed Fri 9 Dec 2016 3:01AM
This is good information. I think it makes the most sense for the next group of leaders to make a decision, especially given all of this knowledge. Thanks, and stay tuned!
Agreeing on this proposal means you'd like to make Code for Miami hack nights from weekly to monthly.
Disagreeing on this proposal means you would NOT like to make the open hack nights on a monthly basis (and you would like to keep it weekly as is AND are willing to support it throughout the year, or are open to joining up with the Miami Ruby Brigade's weekly hack nights.)
Abstaining means you don't care either way and you would be satisfied with the consensus.

As one of the organizers of Miami Ruby Brigade, I'd love to welcome and work with Code For Miami members on a weekly basis :)

If the options are closing down the whole org or moving to monthly I think monthly makes more sense.

It depends on who the next batch of co-captains are or how we choose to organise who runs these each week. I currently can't commit to weekly meetups but still want at least 2 a month

I think that if possible it should be kept to once a week or at a minimum of once every two weeks.

Weekly meetings allow people who might not available any particular week to participate, while allowing week-to-week engagement on projects. Less frequent meetings would cause projects to languish.
