I think it's time to decentralize. Unless we want to drink out of a firehose for the next two months.
The Wednesday calls can be just for report backs for working groups.
This will free up everyone and cut the tension. No central group means ppl don't have to ask, they can just do.
For the people who want the call to be the final authority - please look at the record and see the calls don't result in decisions- we run out of time for the most important agenda items every week.
If they were just for report backs, we could still coordinate and make things go smoothly, but we won't be bottle necking people's projects.

No consensus was reached - working groups will still make their own decisions and bring report backs. Bigger decisions that need the entire group will still be made on the Wednesday conference calls.
Decentralize the work by making the Wednesday change from decision making to a forum for report backs for working groups.
Each group assigns someone to be on the call and decide what to report back.
Items that need hard decisions can be proposed here on Loomio.

Allowing aligned autonomous action and loosening the structure will neutralize negativity and get pressure (and blame) off individuals and puts focus on the missions and tasks.

Autonomous action is great, but we need some kind of general framework, otherwise, we'll end up with "dueling" actions (for example, a Native American ceremony and a march).

The proposal as written does not make it clear that the final decisions are made on the Wednesday call. (On the last call, Sea stated that he would make a Loomio report back on the call.)

I don't think there should be somebody assigned to do the updates. That's creating a representative system, when anybody should be able to report back and add more details. However, the discussion should be used for updates and coordination.

Jeremy is right - that is exactly what happens when there is conflict in the committees! ty jeremy! I wonder if we can't find a way 2 facilitate any committees with conflict & let the one's that do not decentralize w/final consensus on WedCall?

using the calls to decide stuff is crazy making & privileged.
most of the 99% dont have phones or time mid week to join in
