Thinking about the touch screen that is planned for the interactive console. It is probably the easiest and cheapest to use a cheap android tablet. The question then is how to get control signals to madrix. It is probably easy to send OSC from a custom developed android app to the central brains that is running the cube. The added advantage of such an approach would be that the cube could be controlled from any android device within wifi range that has the app installed.

For the moment I don't know, but I am searching for information on this subject.
In the Madrix help and tutorials, I can see that this is possible to control the cube with DMX, Art-Net or MIDI protocols.

Here is the answer directly from Madrix:

"When the Arduino will send a Art-Net signal to MADRIX it is easy to control MADRIX with the desired interactive product. With the Art-Net input signal it is easy to control MADRIX remotely. Under the following links you can learn more about the remote control of MADRIX via Art-Net:

You can jump over steps 2 in this tutorial.

I updated the thread with some generic information about different types of control protocols Madrix supports directly or indirectly.
