Belated Report from Eastern Conf. for Workplace Democracy

JD Josh Davis Public Seen by 187

Hi all. I had the good fortune to attend the ECWD in Worcester MA about three weeks ago. It was a wonderful gathering of 300-400 worker-owners, co-op developers and assorted allies. I also attended and participated in the one-day participatory mini-conference that GEO organized, focused on building Regional Solidarity Economy Networks. Being surrounded by so many cool people doing so many awesome things was inspiring and greatly energizing.

While at the conferences, I had the opportunity to talk to a lot of people and organizations. There's one group in particular that I thought people in this group might be interested in:

Northcountry Cooperative Development Fund--based in MN but making loans all across the US for all sorts of cooperative enterprises and co-op housing. They provide funding and some consulting for co-op start-ups, expansions and conversions, Visit their website: www.ncdf.coop

We've only published a couple of reports from the conference so far on GEO, but we've got more in the works.

ADWC III and ECWD 2015: Brief Personal Memories

The Western Worker Co-op Conference is coming up this Sept. 20-22 in Berkeley, CA. Anybody want to carpool?

Josh,

Hey, thanks for the info. Want to let you know I'm leaving Missoula on the 21st and won't return until January, so you won't see me at any meetings. Keep up the good work.

Cheers,

Travis
