Which projects would you like to see at OPEN 2020?

Do you know any 'new economy' projects that you would like to see at OPEN 2020? Let us know and we will invite them... We're specifically interested in projects which attendees can learn from and ideally get involved with straight away to help build the new economy.

Hey Oli would you be up for a chat / call / Skype / zoom instead?

Hey Oli, As per LinkedIn chat. I was thinking a few of us from Australia might be interested in attending in person. What I got back was enthusiasm for an event in Australia that could work like "upside down open co-op" via Webinar. People here would love to come but for the carbon and Caronavirus issues.

Your London event (awesome speakers btw) will be in our night time and so we'd love to stream it via Zoom and watch over here. But probably all of us would go to sleep in the middle of your day / middle of our night.

We could also on that Zoom link have a bunch our best Co-operators share their experiences via Zoom. This could be at the start or finish of your regular content of each day.

Either way it can extend the content that you've got under open.coop and extend the audience in a cost effective way.

Is there a way to make an evening / early morning event for us that ties into the right time for open.coop?

Where there's overlap the benefits of both regions/countries co-operating is something we'd love to see.

I'm really into this Wardy - and would love to make the event more accessible to anyone by inviting contributions and conversations with others online but, I've personally never seen this work well... when there are so many rich f2f conversations happening in the room it's always less appealing to talk to someone via a computer screen... no matter how interesting they are!

I think we might be able to live stream the main room - and will definitely look to record it ... but both of these costs money and will require we land some sponsorship - if anyone knows any forward thinking, ethical / decentralized tech / new economy companies / projects that might be interested in raising their profile please let me know and we will do what we can... but without sponsorship and a volunteer to run and manage the "upside down open co-op" Webinar from the UK I think it will be hard thb.

Oli, on sponsorships: have you considered Protocol Labs? (the team behind IPFS). Another possibility is Aragon but that's a little more far-fetched. I can put you in contact.

Hi Wardy - you will be happy to see the event has been postponed and is going online - this is good news for our American and Australian friends :) the question now becomes - how do we make the time zones work for everyone !?!?!? Please reply in the OPEN 2020 ONLINE thread

Someone just pointed me to this project which looks interesting https://crowdwork.coop/ and potentially similar to what @Graham is working on at Platform 6 ...

I have read part-way through this, and it looks fascinating, and very relevant, but was distracted by a number of grammatical errors in the text. If this is your project Tatiana and you have access to the text, it would be good to correct them - let me know and either we can meet up and go through it, or I could send you a list of the ones that don't read right, with suggested corrections.

Thank you very much for your feedback and for your help. We will be very grateful if you could send us a list of what needs to be corrected. Unfortunately, our English is not very good. My mail is: [email protected] Thanks again!!
