Wind energy's role in Wales

There's plenty of discussion and debate around wind in Wales. Wind energy has a high level of public support (net 56%), but there's currently a 'cap' of 2,000 MW for onshore wind in Wales.
Should there be a cap at this level? What are the advantages and disadvantages to having this cap on onshore wind power?
