Hello and welcome to the Giveth Governance Loomio!

The Giveth community uses the Loomio application to make decisions that help us in building our own organizational structure through experimentation with teal thinking.

We are a Decentralized Altruistic Community(DAC), our goal is to facilitate the creation of other DACs and to keep refining our process as a model.

This is an open group and you will be asked to participate in decisionmaking, so please take the time to introduce yourself - especially if you think the current members on this loomio might not know you 馃

Hey there folks, Bowen here. @bowensanders on slack/riot... I'm an electronic musician (Mister Boyfriend), audio engineer and crypto enthusiast. I'm out of development practice (the last actual project coding that I had done was PHP/MySQL in 04-06, and I let my chops slide) but I'm working on getting back up to speed. I've been inspired by the possibilities of smart contracts (Ask me about getting married on the Ethereum Blockchain, and the "smart marraige" project in the project list) for the betterment of our world, and I'm excited to contribute however I can!

Hey guys, I'm Anton (@tranton on riot). In the last 5 years I've worked as a freelancer but more as a consultant than as a coder. But also did some coding in my free time. Would say, that I have also a little experience in many things but I'm not an expert in any field. Last summer I gave up my work. One of the main reasons for that was that I needed time to go deeper in all the cryptostuff. I belive in decentralisation, the humanity and that cryptostuff can solve a lot of big issues. Currently I'm learning solidity and looking some meaningful project to participate.

Also since some months I have the idea to combine a cryptocurrency with gamification to build something like a decentralized Pokemon Go where a collective can set incentives for building decentralized structures, solving problems and bringing people together.

Hello all, I have been programming for about a decade now and I have recently gotten interested in decentralized solutions. I developed an idea called Uprightly (https://www.uprightly.io) and want to begin working on it. It is a reputation/trust system that uses incentives to encourage users to cooperate with each other. It is not necessarily tied to identification. It is also platform-agnostic, meaning it can be used anywhere, for any transaction, in any marketplace, online or offline. Ideally, the project would get to the point that it is the best reputation service and can be integrated in to all sorts of services that require reputation and trust (ecommerce platforms, lending, etc.) The website has the most coherent information about the project and I am glad to discuss in detail further with all of you fine folks!

I help run an NGO that helps refugees. It is 100% voluntary and grass roots!
Our work is truly in line with what we do at Giveth and the principles followed!
I have extensive field knowledge on refugee issues but also general social problems.

Hi! My names Josh and I'm interested in participatory organisation, governance, sociocracy3.0, identity, philosophy, natural patterns, design patterns/Crymitives and reinventing parts of modern existence that have misaligned incentives. I'd like to see these rather special type of organisations/communities start to share, interoperate and become cities of different flavours that people can move between based on calling
