Communications Systems

DR Derek Razo Public Seen by 16

Hello friends!

As we have grown (quite rapidly) it is becoming clearer and clearer that we need more formalized processes for projects to self organize.

We are in the middle of a big push to decentralize and smooth out the operations flow in the group.

Our current communications stack looks something like this:

Events / Casuals: Facebook
Doccument Collaboration: Google Drive
Decisions: Loomio
Project Task Coordination (code): github
Project Task Coordination (non-code): trello
External Comms: website (w/ no blog, no social media)

Please take a sec to think and weigh in on these questions:

1) How are these systems working? Where do people fall through comms cracks?

2) How can we make a seamless experience of integration, not just for coders, but for everyone when joining the group and trying to get oriented?

3) What are we missing? What would we need to add to make a system for external comms (blogs, social media etc.). How should we coordinate this?

Please pitch in with ideas, platforms, etc that you have used with success or heard about being helpful. :)

DR
