CFCC Market Greens grants
Market Greens grants
"Market Greens is a new CFCC program that increases affordable access to fresh fruits and vegetables through subsidized community markets, targeted financial incentives, and produce prescriptions. The program aims to promote health and reduce disease risk, particularly for communities with greater barriers to healthy food access who are more vulnerable to diet-related conditions such as heart disease and diabetes.
Market Greens grants support organizations to establish new affordable fruit and vegetable markets and offer targeted financial incentives that can be redeemed for fresh produce at new and existing affordable markets." https://cfccanada.ca/en/Our-Work/Grants
This grant seems like it was made for Farm to Table Wednesdays, and the application cycle starts in November so we could really get our ducks in a row.. Wonder if we should bring it to an Eco Just Food Network meeting?

Hi everyone and thanks EM for asking! I definitely think we should bring it up at our next meeting and yes it does look like a custom fit! Btw, and I will poke around when did we reschedule that meeting to? Thanks

Yes we are and lets get on this grant- Expanding and subsidizing the buying club can be a "new" market as would co-purchasing imported food.
