Thanks @markamery for your work on this. Happy to be a facilitator. If you need someone to buy materials I'm happy to put my hand up (provided I was given funds to do so). Re sausages I recall @markgalbraith having an idea on this?
Also, just a heads up -- KCDC are also holding a Seawall Open Day on the 12 Feb. I have told them about this hui to ensure thaw don't compete with each other and actually compliment each other -- i.e. seawall piggy backing on the end of this hui for those interested. Haven't heard anything back. Have a preliminary meeting with them tomorrow afternoon so will update then.

Yes I am happy to make contribution to sort out sausages, bread etc as required.
I've never done facilitation nor even been to a facilitated meeting that I recall so perhaps best I do other jobs on the day.

Hi Mark - the faciltation on your part doesnt require lots of experience - more just keeping your group moving to task. I think its important you're part of the discussions. In fact I am now looking at how we can get others to do the BBQ etc so you're there - listening/taking notes/ etc. I'll look to someone else to facilitate but think you should be in a group .

Mike and I will be small group facilitators too. The hall cost $30 bucks. Have paid. Suggest we put a koha box out to cover some of our costs.

Re sausages etc I had no particular idea just happy to have my business pay for it. I am happy to organise getting that stuff purchased - are people happy with just sausages/onion/bread etc? Do we need vegetarian option, maybe felafel?
Mark Amery Wed 8 Feb 2017 4:29AM
Hi Mark - if you handle this sausages/.onion/bread side, and then @hannahzwartz and @hollyjaneewens you handle the other options? And can one of you put their hands up to organise liase with hall re BBQ and utensils? As @hollyjaneewens suggests lets put out a koha tin to cover the costs.

@markamery do you mean the vegan/vege option for @hannahzwartz and I to take care of? I would suggest if someone (namely @markgalbraith ) is going to the supermarket then it would be easier to simply grab a pot of falafel. I just made my own for dinner tonight but the labour is reasonably intense. Simple = easy = good for this methinks. My day is pretty full as immediately following this hui I have another important one with my PCB hat on for the seawall.

Please find planning document for your discussion on this thread here. Note there are some roles that need filling in terms of buying materials ahead of Sunday.
