I'm not in town on a Friday
Thanks for your work, Caroline and Kaitiaki. This sounds like a great proposal.

Awesome to see this coming into fruition! I won't be in the north island until after September, but count me in down the track :)

Thanks for your comments. Tuesdays suited most people so we've confirmed Tuesday 29 August for our first MfC monthly meet-up. Here's the link to the facebook event - https://www.facebook.com/events/320656801728284/. See you all there!

After hui 3 the kaitiaki group (this is our new name - we used to be known as the shared-holders) considered the feedback from the post-hui 3 survey. A common theme raised by many people was a wish for easier ways to keep in touch with others in the community between hui to jam on projects, practice mindfulness and socialise. The idea of a regular meet-up was suggested and we've decided to trial a monthly meet-up in Wellington from August to November this year.
We want to co-create the meet-ups with the community so please share your ideas with us.
Our thoughts at this stage are that the meet-ups would be about 2 hours on a weekday evening. They would include a brief talk from someone in the community about a project or venture. We'd have time for community notices. Someone would lead a mindfulness or embodied practice and we'd end with social time over cake and tea/coffee. We're also thinking we'll trial project kitchens, which are a short process developed by Lifehack for connecting people around projects (here's a link to some info on project kitchens if you're interested https://lifehackhq.co/online-project-kitchens/).
CoLiberate have very kindly agreed to host the first meet-up in August. I'll send out a poll to decide on the date.
