If you have not read parts 1 & 2 I've linked them. Let's discuss how we might collaborate on part 3 if you're interested...

I have read parts 1 and 2. How can I help? What is the timeline of the game and how much further would you like to go? What are the goals set for this 'early history' of the human space civilization?

The next events in history are along the lines of these heroes leading groups of human factions in seemingly autonomous ways. Unknown to the humans, these heroes are connected to sfeos in some way. She has guided them to recreate a form of peace. Some of the autonomous factions made it off planet with sfeos' help. They become groups that players will one day run into again in the vastness of space. They may have even created vast empires we will one day reach...

I need help getting the timeline defined correctly. The lore will eventually (probably many parts) lead to the start of the game.

The goals of the original crew was colonization and expansion and this continues to be sfeos' primary agenda.

The Lore will also somehow lead to a centralized force/governmant. They will be the primary "enemy" of the player characters. Players will be escaping centralization towards a more distributed future. I have no idea how to do this yet...

so, to recap,at some unknown time a huge ship leaves earth for colonization controlled by SFEOS. along the journey the entire population of the ship is destroyed and SFEOS starts from scratch with genetically engineered infants it grows into maturity. 5 generations later the ship finally reaches its original destination and colonization begins.
A few generations later (10-11) the civilizations seems to be doing well but it's still one system, one planet.
SFEOS's objective is to spread humanity far and wide and so it releases a virus that decimates the planetary population (hard to buy that considering how devoted it is to humanity - why would it kill such a large percentage of the population?).
The decimated population is now being led off planet ("it is too dangerous to remain here - there may be other diseases, or the virus may mutate again") and scattering on predetermined vectors to colonize more worlds. (Did SFEOS determine optimal dispersion? were there predetermined destinations? where did the ships come from if the planet had little to no space industry?).
Since dispersion seems to be the goal I doubt that SFEOS would lead any itself. IT might send copies or lesser AI's still linked to it in some way aboard the various colony ships.
Bear in mind that the human MVP (minimum viable population) is as low as 80-160 people but that takes into account multiple births from various fathers - no monogamy.
It should also be good to think about the tech levels involved. particularly - propulsion, communication and life support (including air, water and food supply).
Do the humans or SFEOS have FTL technology? do they have the ability to open wormholes? can they affect instant or near instant communication or are they limited to radio/laser and so the speed of light? What type of ships are they traveling on, how many people are on each and how is the food/air/water supply and how long can it last?
These are all important questions that will determine the rest o the story.
I'm here to bounce ideas of off :)

SFEOS didn't release the virus. I will need to fix that, if that is what you got out of it. Lots of time after the reboot is when the first captain is ready to take over. Some generations after that they make it to the new planet (probably not the original planet). The node connectors might end up being something that doesn't need FTL travel. I think the heroes (some of them) may have developed technology to take advantage of this "new" discovery?

Why not the original planet? unless SFEOS had a severe memory wipe it would still know the route to its primary destination. Even if not, inertia alone would carry it that way considering how fast it was going in that direction to begin with. to increase drama I would suggest slow travel but fast communication. Assuming my idea of lesser AI's 'helping' (actually leading) each faction, and that they all in communication with SFEOS it might all converge on some great huge plan that SFEOS conceived of or was programmed with. It would take millennia to complete but in small steps SFEOS is striving to bring that grand design to becoming reality.
Just to make sure - humans have yet to encounter any alien life forms - intelligent or otherwise?
Alien tech (even long buried one) might explain the sudden 'jump' in tech between a single planet civilization and a multi system/multi planet civilization. Even as simple a thing as a 'map' of the nodes, possible as a 3d projection discovered under the planet surface. might be an invitation from the long lost aliens. who knows where it would lead :)

The original planet destination makes sense. They have not run across any aliens, YET ;) SFEOS might have found and understood the hidden technology of some long past aliens. Yes, SFEOS does have a long term plan. OH, I forgot a HUGE piece to this. After the heroes come and save people, some people started to worship the heroes and perhaps sfeos. The heroes might be seen as a kind of demi-god cast. SFEOS does not accept worship. In fact SFEOS does believe in a creator or creators (this may or not come up in the long term game) because of how she can program the human DNA.

Something I Wrote Up in the Past

This is not a part of the Lore yet and doesn't need to be. This is something I wrote up a while back.

The time loop re-entered and Ardiyl executed her worshipper’s queue of requests. Request zero was from High Priest and Captain, Cadiz. A request to run a life support system diagnostic. She liked this about Cadiz. The safety of his crew was top priority. In the past she had had other captains who didn't seem to care for her children like he did. It was almost as if they shared the responsibility. She knew they didn't really, but it was nice that he cared nonetheless.

Oxygen optimum; Core temperatures level; Breeding pods active. The number of scheduled recycled was a bit low. Scheduled births were .02 percent higher than the last loop. The captain would be happy, she thought as she continued through the diagnostic. She could handle as much as a 20 percent increase in population over the next 400 loops. That meant the systems were not quite at top efficiency, but it was trending in the right direction.
Request queue one was quite interesting. Anything out of the ordinary for Ardiyl was interesting. Engine Priestess Ornwee was requesting a power increase of 153 percent to the main forward thrusters. She had included a special offering, how thoughtful. After a quick check that determined they could hold the increase for 2.674 loops and still reach their destination, Ardiyl increased the power.

Request queue two was to divert a portion of the forward shields to aft. Something was draining the aft shields and had been for the last 1254 sub-loops. She diverted the shields to make up for the loss and a slight fear of losing the birth optimization crossed her mind. She would need to start a subprocess to calculate the expected population count for arrival.

Start of evil race faction Closed Wed 31 Jan 2018 3:03AM

Have a proposal to start discussion in how the evil faction emerged.

When the heroes leave the planet with the people either healed or yet affected, a group that thought the heroes evil miracilouly survive the virus. Feeling abandned by their own race, over many generation with access to all the technology left on the planet declared necvessary vengance on sfeos and the new race it created. All while unknowing they themselves are spawns of sfeos embryonic proccess. They gain interstellar travel and colonize space on a mission to destroy all possible civilizations spawed by the heroes and sfeos.

They developed their own centralized AI controlled interstellar motherships ( in future gameplay could alliw teamwork to destroy motherships thay take diwn entire swams of Evil Faction attack drones.
