Steve is right in that hierarchal power structures can introduce\reinforce the abhorrent behaviour that we seek to eliminate, that's why we would need to create a working framework of decision arrival to combat this 'Human condition' before we could ever present ourselves into the political arena, working as a city branch officer has taught me a lot, the people I work with are not evil, they are simply the product of this environment, some are highly motivated to help their local communities for no personal gain or power, some are idealistically libertarian and detest the interference of Government in their lives, they all see the corruption that exists, my chairman loves the RBE concept but like many, dismisses it as being hubristic.

Important Note: because of the unprecedented attack on the party we are all now required to provide full disclosure of our online activities, usernames, forums used etc. before we are allowed to run for any kind of public position. This will become the norm across all party's soon.

if policy agreements could be reached in consensus.

I think that could be the hub of the issue.

Remember the big debate about Teamspeak V Mumble...

Now, in theory we should have ended up with Mumble at the end of the day, shouldn't we...

Initially I was for Teamspeak, but as Mumble improved over time, I changed my mind.

So I could imagine there could well be several different flavours of TZM/RBE type parties, and candidates.

Some of my own thoughts are in line with certain TZM folk, and certain RBE folk, but not all 100%

So what do we do if we cannot reach a 100% consensus ?

Lets see how far we get with consensus, there is a contentious policy paper on energy & I've posted it here as a new discussion group. I could invite the author to explain it to us but he's probably a bit busy in Newark at the moment ;-)

Why do we need 100% Consensus anyway - Wiki has a

good page on Wiki "Criticism of democracy".....

The question is can these negative traits be minimized for the masses with correct transparent Forum Software Design, much like why we are here to trial loomio

Imagine if an RBE candidate made it their sole objective to campaign for the development of a community cooperative project designed to make local (particularly un/underemployed) people self-sufficient in food, energy and goods production. Explaining that this was a 'Big society' initiative, they used their position to seek partners to design and fund the program - including charities who would help distribute resources to the most vulnerable people. Once the program was running, the RBE concept would be presented as the long term goal of the project...

Option"....seek partners to design and fund the program"

Problem: potential partners exhibit Guardian of the Statuesque tendencies

Option "....... to make the already redundant process of electoral party politics apparent by constructing collaborative and consensus driven networks as alternatives."

Works for me Ste, what does everyone else except for Brian think?

Brian please take your class consciousness & begin to realize it is divisive & never ending....ie. FUCK OFF - Leave TZMUK

As far as I'm aware this is the latest workable version, the next is in it's development stage.
The following is further developed, but more complex to implement. I'm not sure how to do so.
It may be worth further research and even consideration of future proposal to TZM UK website.
