Hi All,
Over the past few months I've been reading posts and watching the evolution of the combined thoughts. Excellent!
I'm a little confused about roles and how they are moving forward... If we could start to delegate and make deadlines on proposed outcomes, that would be great.
I know we have time till the next election BUT this will come around quickly, and I don't think we would like to be caught short... I understand that we have restrictions due to budgets but I'm sure we can overcome them.
Thanks
Pete

Yes - confusion over our current roles is a problem that i think all of us have at this stage...we last worked out roles about 6mnths ago. since then things have changed and some people have even left the party (Paul Martin has left). This section:
https://www.loomio.org/d/BPJvKaos/staff-structure-positions
in loomio created 6mnths ago was the last time we organised roles... WE DEFINATELY NEED TO WRITE UP A NEW ONE.

In the last 3 months TOM OLIVERI created entirely by himself our new website found here: (thanks for your work Tom) http://www.onlinedirectdemocracy.org/

Joum has been an active creator and mediator of our Loomio groups. He also has admin rights to our official facebook page - and i understand he regularly creates posts on that page and interacts with the public via that page. I myself do not know who else has admin access to the FB Page.

My name that i use to log in to Loomio is a current problem (it occurs becuase i login to loomio via my FB identity and it is misleading and "dictatorial" however i have had trouble working out how to change it...

I have had and currently have the ability to edit the old website found here:
http://www.senatoronline.org.au/
i also have access to anyone that completes a volunteer form via the website or a party membership form or a contact us form etc etc... so i have access to a basic database of sorts.

Tom has access to all the forms that anyone has filled out via his website.

And Tom was in charge/able to send out the latest newsletter to around 800? people...

And Berge has had a huge job recently ringing every single one of our 500 members and making sure they understood that they may be contacted by the AEC to verify our party's existence... and this has finished and the AEC has contacted all our members and in the end they granted us permission to stand as a registered party as opposed to de-registering us... and this was quite a close call from my communications with Berge via emails...

We also need to review who wishes to be on our party's internal email communications... and of course include anyone like yourself Pete - who wishes to remain informed and active in the party. And also some peoples email addresses have CHANGED case in point Rory Thomson-Ball.

okay - i gotta go and relax and watch MKR... i will login to loomio again tomorrow.
Cheers from Oliver.

Ok.. so we had the meeting, but it was just me and Berge and Francois and it went for 45 mins and it was quite easy and productive with less people anyway... I find meetings are generally quite difficult - mainly due to the limitations of the Google Hangout software... they really need to build a queue-ing system for people to talk... so that when someone is talking and two others are listening and then those two others wish to say something straight after the current speaker (in response to the current speaker) they are both cancelled out by the mic software as it works currently - which is really annoying and time wasting.. if there was a queue button to press - then the order would be automatically done in real-time - with a countdown as well...so if Francois is currently talking and Berge and Oliver are listening to Francois and then both Berge and Oliver wish to reply to Francois all they do is press a button silently whilst listening to Francois - then when Francois has stopped talking the software automatically turns on Berge's mic and cam because he pressed the button before Oliver... the whole order would be on the screen - so everyone would know when they can talk or who is next up to respond....maybe there is already video-conferencing software out there like this?! Also in future meetings - we will need to agree on sitting in a fairly quiet room for the duration of the meeting - with no phone-calls or people talking in the background - as its just a waste of time... - I understand that this time Berge had issues with his connection due to the Sydney storm damages - which is fair enough... but i think in future we should try and agree on some protocols of the meetings so that they are more efficient and productive... I will also actually open up the meeting on google hangout 15mins prior to meeting start time - so that everyone can get organized and connected and the meeting will then start on time. And yes we always need to write up a small meeting agenda prior to the meeting... and then write a summary of the meeting's discussions. Berge will be sending an email around with a small summary of what was discussed. Please let me know if any of you tried to attend but were unable to due to technical reasons. Emma, Tom and Ricky contacted me to explain their inability to attend - which was fine - so thank you for letting me know. But Joum, Pete and Rory said they were going to attend - and then for whatever reason were unable to. (This may have been my fault?) I think next time I will write down my mobile number for anyone to call if they were having technical difficulties or didn't receive the link etc... We are also going to try to limit our communications (such as email) to only a small group of people who are currently active within the party or currently performing actual work - its much easier that way - with a smaller more dedicated group - things get decided on far quicker and its far more efficient. Thanks everyone, Cheers Ollie.
