Project description - Website for Farendløse Mosteri

Here is the place to reflect and build upon the project Website for Farendløse Mosteri.
Here is the mission statement extracted from the Google doc.
Our mission is to alleviate borders between Farendløse Mosteri and society. This entails communicating the values behind the farm, connecting with volunteers and others who would like to get involved in the farm’s activity and selling the production surplus and other goods from the farm.
More information regarding the value proposition, needs from the network, budget and action plan can be found in the doc linked above.
Specific edit suggestion can be made directly in the document while more structured comments and reflections go in this Loomio thread.

Im sorry that i comment like this this late in the process. I dont think it should cost money. I think it should be cheap, easy, easy to use. There are many free or almost free options. To me a wiki would be best. I would much rather do my own branding than having others do it - i think its the most fun part so why fasciliate that?
About web shop. Perhaps im mistaken in that the net could generate a lot of income. But to me most orders of the bigger kind would be by personal contact and email. And to me smaller orderes would be delivered i Rantz and not by mail. This kind of ordering could be made quite simple.
Our net pressence should be:
- an overview of days where you can volunteer. This could be a calendar and there should be a link from facebook.
- product descriptions - and perhaps just an email - send your orders here (or a sheet or something). If we sell out of rantz it is possible to get money black
- description of the project.
- if some one wants to make a video then that would be cool.
- an instagram page - where we all can post pictures.

Very colourful outcome for a first proposal, great work!
No hard feelings in my block. I hear the concerns of @simonvonsiebenthal and find complete legitimacy in it. However in my current situations I would rather not to work black.
Unlike @simonvonsiebenthal, I can't pretend that all the money that flows to me will be reinvested in our network. That is because, as of today, I owe 32222.44 euros (240476.70 DKK) to La Caisse d'Épargne (a french bank) for my student loan. It does really hurt to have to channel the money of people that are close to me to a bank, but so is my reality.
However, as I now teach part time at KEA, my monthly reimbursement are more or less covered and most of what I get on top of that can be reinvested in our network.
For me the main value of working for money is to have metrics and traceable commitment/contributions from each others. I would be open to try to do it without, but I expect to have strong and opinionated expectations for such a system, and that designing it might be subject to disagreements of many kinds.
IMHO money is the easy way. But perhaps the wrong path.

hej boys.
I was wondering. My friend Anders have put up a wordpress template on a server. He was supposed to make the homepage for the mosteri - but he has a lot of work.
So i was wondering if one or several of you would be able to sit down one day - at rantz and make the homepage. It will basically be the set up of the template - menues, colors, framing of text and so on. My thought was that we could try and get the content from everybody - and if that takes to long we'll do it our selves.
I dont want to make it a proposal before i have posed these questions: 1) should we get the content before we make the site eg.will it be easier to make it then. Or can we just start with a template and create a graphical identity from there and some menu's. 2) Would you meet, perhaps Nikolaj, Nicholas and andreas - or some of you and make it.

Is it the homepage only for the Mosteri or for the whole farm?
Do you want two separate ones?
I could help to give it a try next week. It won't get very pretty, but it will do the job.
But I think you should share a Google Doc with us, where you make a first proposal for the content. You can start by only putting in the section headings and then write a mail to the farm people, to help you co-create the text. And also a link to a folder where you keep some pictures.

Its for the whole farm - and perhaps also for your projects. but ill create a google doc - and source the content. Then ill come back -- it'll probably take a couple of days --- im pretty hung up.

hey --- i cant get on google docs my computer is old - There is pictures on facebook that we can use. There is one that is quite pretty that we should use.
There is quite a lot of written material - we have some blog posts too. I will post them on monday in a google doc - when i have a better computer on the internet.
Home page proposal
- Frontpage: short description
- Instagram – link to instagram – or some similar perhaps facebook pictures?
- kalender in facebook– I would suggest that all events where made as events in facebook – so a link to facebook – begivenheder – could be our calendar. If we wanted we could have a list of events on the page too - https://www.facebook.com/groups/882758721782209/events/
- About – with some important documents – some of the ones that have been written and descripe what we want and do. There should be a disclaimer that these documents are preliminary and not the views of all.
- blog – To me the content should be pooled from what we do. I read books – and would write a little about some of the books – both farming books and others. Simon have a mail correspondance which is quite cool.
- Contact – should be in the bottom of the page. Email adress, tilmelding if you dont have facebook (the mail list), telephone number (perhaps).
- Products – picture - Short descriptions of the products, the date for when we think they will be ready/price, contact person.

It makes me very nervous to talk about money - because we are out of money at the farm. Or anyway I am. And because we dident earn any or much money yet. I like the idea about buying services from each other but for me this is too soon. When money starts cooming in I will love to pay money to people. Even though I find 150 too much. I always take 100 (black) for my work and i dont like paying people more or getting paid more.
1) The first problem for me is that we are out of money and me, sandra, mikkel and nikolaj just made a loan in the bank for 100.000.
2) I put all of my money in to the farm, around 200.000 without having any hope that i will get them back any time soon.
3) I have no intention of getting a salary in the near future. I work for free.
4) All the money i earn in my free time i intend to put into the farm or other projects - whatever projects people will come up with. Restaurant, buying a car, buying beeequipment. If we/I earn anything on the chicken this money will be recurculated even though the hope would be that I at one point could start earning enough money from selling eggs so that i dont have to work as a flyttemand.
So: I would like to pay people, and espacially you Nicolas, and I will work all i can to build up a system that will generate money for us, and I intend to share all. But I will feel very bad about starting to pay my friends 150/hour when i have to work for 100/hour to earn this money or make bankloans and pay 10% in interest to pay them/you.
One solution is that we pay people - but not before there is money to pay people. (This document: is a document where all private expences connected to the farm are registred: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kXkai3LBunH5QzczlbNjRYsXC_QvllbnoVBHtVKqBxU/edit#gid=0. As soon as money starts coming in people will have these money back.) - I would like that fx a part of the first money from the chickens/eggs can be used as salary-money.
An other solution is that we make a new moneypool that is not connected to Vækst og Forfald where we donate money to and these money can be used as salary money.
a proposal is that we only pay 100/hour - tax free
