Description of Proposed Project:

For years now, Jen Owen has been paying the renewal fees for enablingthefuture.org out of her own pocket. I think most of us would agree that this website has long been recognized as one of the key resources available to e-NABLE volunteers. Therefore, I am proposing that we reimburse Jen for the renewal fees for this year to keep the site going. This includes the domain registration, hosting, and SSL certificate, with a combined total of $325.

To be clear, Jen Owen created this website and will retain full ownership of the site and its content. Helping her to cover the costs seems appropriate, given the value the community receives from the website, but this reimbursement would not result in any change in the ownership of the site.

Expected results/impact:

Continuing availability of this important resource for our community. (If this proposal isn't approved, the site won't go away, but Jen would have to cover these costs out of her own pocket).

Estimate of work effort involved:

I will assist Jen with whatever administrative tasks are involved with the renewals. It should take no more than a couple of hours, and we are not requesting any funding to cover the cost of our time.

Estimated timeline for completion:

Most of the renewals will take place within the next month, but some of the costs are monthly. This proposal includes all of the costs associated with supporting enablingthefuture.org for the 2019 calendar year.

A total of $325 is being requested, which covers the following:

> $155 for website hosting renewal
> $108 for the VaultPress backup solution ($9 per month)
> $26 for the domain renewal
> $36 for the SSL certificate

This represents all of the known costs associated with supporting enablingthefuture.org for the 2019 calendar year.
