Language & Maths. (Education)

SS Stevie Sleuth Public Seen by 329

Next in line is education and learning (knowledge/ schools). Knowledge is very important for us to keep moving forward with technology and science. Basic education like language and maths, should be taught at home. Internet advancements and technology advancements, make it that now the computer can become the teacher. Children do not need to learn at schools if they do not want to be there. Parents wont have jobs to go to, so the parents focus can move, from being the working parent, to being more the teaching parent, like the way it is meant to be. Then for your advanced education. This will be in the cities. All over the city you will have open education centers. All focus on different subjects but have the worlds needs in focus. So you have a wide rage of education centers, you can go study at your own free will. For example Graham Hancock will be teaching history, Nassim Haramein science etc. All open leaning centers for anybody to use. Then you will be attracted to what you are interested in and go to that. Not forced into learning something you are not interested in like today's schools do. These education centers will also be live fed to the internet for all to see if they want.
Self-Discovery
Creative Play
For children in the primary years, creative play will be an essential part of their development. A certain amount of time each day will be dedicated to providing children with all the resources necessary to manifest their spontaneity in the world. Teachers will use this time to identify and nurture those areas the children are naturally driven in.
Aesthetics
All disciplines of the arts will be made available to students of all ages, under the new banner of Aesthetics. Music, dance, theater, poetry, visual art, film-making, photography, culinary arts, pottery, craft, writing, among other artistic pursuits, should be open to students. Teachers of Aesthetics will be masters of their craft or discipline, in order for children to achieve mastery themselves.
Sports and Outdoor Activities
Like Aesthetics pursuits, children should have full access to a range of sports and outdoor pursuits. Though competitive sports will still be available under this model, there will be a greater focus on collaborative and non-competitive outdoor activities, to get children working together to achieve a common goal, rather than trying to outdo their peers.
Mindfulness
Children will be given opportunities to experience mindfulness and meditation from an early age, and will have access to this practice all through their schooling. Mindfulness education will assist students in unearthing their passions, dreams and deep desires in life, while at the same time helping them develop stronger neural pathways and increasing their creative potential.
Inquiry
Philosophy
By teaching philosophy in schools, children will be able to look beyond the spheres of their daily lives and take in the bigger picture. For such a study to be effective, it need only pose questions that are of interest to a curious and inquisitive mind, and challenge students to detach from their rigid belief systems and explore other perspectives.
History
Students will look at multiple accounts of history instead of a single narrative. They will investigate evidence from a number of different angles, weigh all the evidence in fairness, and reach their own conclusions, with complete impartiality from their teacher.
Socratic Mentoring
Socrates once said, ‘Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel.’ In a new education paradigm, the role of the teacher will shift from a dictator of information to a facilitator of open dialogue. Through a process of open-ended questioning, students will be challenged to actively engage their own minds in order to develop their critical thinking faculties.
Sustainability
Immersion in Nature
As a species, it is imperative that we reconnect with the natural world in order to sustain all life on it. By regularly immersing our children in nature from an early age instead of keeping them cooped up in classrooms all day, they will forge a strong bond with the earth and its inhabitants. It is important for children to learn about nature by connecting on a spiritual level with nature, rather than having them learn about nature through textbooks and computers.
Teaching Life Skills
Real practical life skills will be a key component of a new education system. Children will learn how to grow their own food, cultivate their own permaculture garden, collect their own rainwater, build their own weatherproof home using sustainable means, and any other life skills that give them full autonomy over their own lives. When we teach these children how to be self-sustainable, we also empower them to be self-governing and not reliant on any system.
Health & Wellbeing
Students will learn how to maintain their overall health & wellbeing through healthy eating habits, regular exercise, mindfulness and positive relationships. Schools will address the health benefits of eating natural wholefoods, and school cafeterias will provide nutrient-rich lunches. Unhealthy foods will not be served in schools, so if children wish to eat sugary and fatty foods, they must be brought from home. Children will learn strategies to better understand and deal with the issues of mental illness, addiction, disability & eating disorders.
Renewable Energy
Students will be exposed to all kinds of renewable energy technologies, including solar, wind, geothermal, wave, tidal, and more. They will explore the impacts that oil, coal, natural gas, coal seam gas and nuclear power have on our environment, and the desperate need to move on from fossil fuels in order to sustain our planet and our species. Children will be empowered to become problem-solvers with regard to the natural crises facing our planet.
Innovation
Convergent & Divergent Thinking
Children will be encouraged to think outside the box in all aspects of their learning. Instead of only relying on convergent thinking strategies, which tend to produce right or wrong answers, schools will place just as much focus on divergent thinking strategies, which challenge students to find creative and unconventional solutions to any given problem or task. This process is essential for nurturing the creative faculties of each and every student and maximizing their innovative potential.
Science Beyond the Physical
Nikola Tesla once said, ‘The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.’ Science education will transcend the constraints of reductionist-materialism to explore the fascinating realm of quantum physics. Students will be exposed to new fields of research that go beyond conventional understandings of science.
Collaboration
Schools will focus on collaborating in the learning environment instead of pitting students against each other. Competition in the classroom will be abolished as it causes children to hold each other at arm’s length and to pursue success at the expense of another’s failure. Innovation is best realised when students pool their creative potential. Children who grow up through a collaborative education paradigm will be much more likely to foster a collaborative and community-driven society.
Communication
Social and Emotional Learning
Children will learn how to minimize conflict internally and externally through an understanding of emotional language, body language, and social/personal relationships. They will learn to recognize their own internal feelings and be equipped with the skills to stop themselves reaching extremes of emotion. Through this understanding, children will be able to cultivate healthier relationships with their friends, their partners, and most importantly, with themselves.
Language Learning
Retaining our native languages is important to keep a hold of our rich cultural diversity. Native languages will be taught in places where English is not the dominant language, with English being taught as a second language in those places. In places where English is the dominant language, only English will be mainstreamed with the option of learning a second language. By teaching English across the board, language barriers no longer get in the way of our ability to communicate, bringing all cultures closer together.
Basic Literacy
Basic literacy will remain a cornerstone of education, as the acquisition of basic reading and writing skills open up many doors that would otherwise remain closed. Beyond primary/elementary level, literacy and language education should be a voluntary study, since a great many students will not need higher-level language skills to live fulfilling lives. These children would much prefer to spend their time and energy pursuing mastery in other areas.
Media Literacy
In this day and age, where media is everywhere we look and pervades our lives at every turn, it is vital that we learn how to decode it in all its forms. Children should be taught how to read subtext, how to recognize media manipulation, and how to avoid falling prey to advertising and political spin. We have to equip our children with the smarts to defend against the damaging messages that they are being targeted with.
Empathy
Planetary Philosophy
Schools will put an end to the nationalist ideologies that breed a harmful culture of separation, division, fear and conflict. A new education paradigm will be founded on a holistic, planetary philosophy that sees us all as members of one human family. Children will learn through the lens of their whole world instead of just their country, and schools will foster a culture of unity through diversity.
Sense of Community
Schools will be built around a strong, familial sense of community. Children should be collaboratively involved in the building and decorating of their school structures, the cooking of the school lunches, the maintenance of the school grounds, the direction of their learning, and many more tasks that directly impact the functioning of their school. When students work together to help their school thrive, they feel a strong sense of belonging as integral members of their tribe.
Understanding the Individual
In order for children to learn empathy, teachers have to first lead by example. This means they have to be getting down to the child’s level, really connecting ‘with’ that child, and making every attempt to understand that child on a more spiritual level. When a child feels like their teacher ‘gets them’ for who they are, they then experience the value of empathy, and will in turn seek to empathize with others.
Learning Kindness
Children will be encouraged to engage in random acts of kindness, and to pay that kindness forward to others. Through such a philosophy built on compassion and human decency, they will learn the value of real human connection and the power of giving without the expectation of reward. By encouraging children to act altruistically from an early age, they are more likely to carry this compassionate nature over into their adult lives.
How Education can Work in a Contributionist Society.
All primary education starts at home. However, child centers will be open 24/7 in a recorded facility by volunteers. A secure process will allow a parent to drop their child off and perform tasks, or to surrender their child indefinitely (for adoption). In these facilities, incidents are recorded, and the child is cared for in the facility until a proper family desires to adopt. If a child is never adopted, he/she will be given every opportunity to receive practical experience and higher education that every child is guaranteed. The child will be the responsibility of the community, and the parent surrendering the child may elect to temporarily place the child in the care of the community, or leave the care of the child to the community indefinitely. Cases of cruelty against children will be reported to Peace Mediators who will investigate the alleged act(s).
Once the child has reached the cognitive functioning of a 5-year-old, they will be able to attend Kindergarten, which will prepare them for their next level of education. Classes will help children discover the fundamentals of language, script, math, and science of the world. During these core classes, meditation is also taught as a way to release stress and calm the mind. This technique is fundamental in discovering self-control and reducing anger and stress.
The next level of education includes practical learning; children will be able to choose ongoing projects to work on, where they will learn fundamental life skills. During this stage, children are not only taught how to perform specific job functions, but are also taught every process that goes into every job, so that they understand the entire process of creation (e.g., child learns to bake bread and is also taught how to harvest the wheat, how to process the grains into flour, how to find and attain other ingredients such as harvesting seasonings, creating butter, etc.). As the child ages, they may eventually find their own labor of love and decide to apprentice. Apprenticeship is requested by the child to the organization to which they desire to apply and accepted by the local professionals in that field. Once a child is apprenticed, they may eventually become seasoned journeymen, and, once they have contributed a significant amount of knowledge to the society, they may be appointed a Master Teacher by their peers and communities where they will be able to teach the newest generation everything that they know. Thus, by design, this form of education is openly progressive, firmly educating the most passionate of our youth with the fullest knowledge of humanity, so that they may continue to advance creation, life, and love.
