Adopt Water as Our Intellectual Focus.

Water is "hidden" from us. Let's unambiguously adopt water. It would include all other issues and would be easily understood.

Sure. Reusing water is a derivative of wanting to live within limits. However, I think people in general have very vague ideas of limits given the "biblical" confusion and "mathematical sleight of hand". How we use water (in any form) needs to be understood by everyone, while the experts have convinced us that only they know the answer. The elders are pointing to new science, new math, and new sociology to handle the question. We need a science group to discuss this.

I would like to be in that group. Not an expert, but interested.

Science is really important. For us, our technology is the highest science. In important ways "our technology" grew out of "Near" Eastern military usurpation of mathematicians like Archimedes. The science of water is very different and involves feeling. I've suggested in the thread "The Sociology of ...", that we are overlooking modern socialist science. I've discovered a connection between socialist science and the Medicine Wheel's Four Directions.

In our early discussions we talked about Water Air Earth and Fire being the themes of the day. With the drought in California so serious and the fire season starting early (google "firenado"), which effects the air quality, and the oil spilling on the streets on LA, it will be a foundational act to make the themes of the day "elemental"

Occupy Sacramento has existing plans for at least one of the days, which will be shared. People like the concept of the four element theme but not for "days themes" It's working as a theme for the caravans. Please see the Four Peace Banner discussion

We were reminded that we have 2 days that already have special events that will determine their shape: the first day being at the capitol building; the last with the SF Mime Troupe. [continued]

Let's check with Sac - I believe the concerns about having any themes came from them.
Otherwise, no problem with the themes - they really do nicely umbrella lots of California problems.

I like the idea, but will these be sub-themes? Who is going to put this together?
