Loomio

Images across Top of Hub

J Jackie Public Seen by 10

With the upcoming press release and donation page, it would be great if we could launch the website at the same time, and I've written the tech list to see if there's any movement there.

In the meantime, it's time to finally get the hub spruced up. This discussion is for the images.
We've discussed images in email, on loomio and facebook, but there's been no suggestions for the whole line-up as a unit. Facebook and loomio and email don't really have a way to view the images as a line across. I buckled to google again, and created the following doc so that we could envision this.

There is space for a "hub logo" on the left, and 7 more images. The way I did them was logo - current natgat Occupy - former natgats - generic natgat - more natgat2014 images. These are examples. I'm not married to any of these. We can create any look or theme we want. Let's get this done.

NatGat2014 Hub Images

You can add new line-ups down the page, bookmarked here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TKW3aAEWNypXLFPfNID7N66cj8AcSA1gEAOmtvoZPRs/edit#bookmark=id.pqm6l5oretoq
just highlight an image, copy and paste in the new space

or simply paste a new text line-up on the doc or here and one of us will set it up.

  1. phoenix people’s puppets, Philly twr fists, blue NatGat 2, 1st GA double sunrise Sacramento foreclosure expect us (concept is ends, center are 2014; photos are Philly, Kalamazoo, Sacramento, in sequence) Does anyone have the NatGat1 logo? It would be nice to do something with all three—not necessarily here (but maybe. . . .)

the blue and red bird? can't find - I'll bet @triciafromphilly has it.

so could have the three birds (I think gas mask bird came last year after the twitter bird gas mask meme, or was it the first?) with three natgat images in between. + 1 more this year.

thanks for adding

So do we have direct admin access to the hub?

Occupy tends not to use platform bc often organizing groups have to request changes from InterOcc creating a lag that stymies efforts.

Do we have Admins who can post or do we have to submit changes that are then posted for us?

This has been resolved to my knowledge; there are images on the page; can we consider this closed?

Sally I am noticing more and more your comments redirecting conversations & pointing out conflicts you perceive going on between others.

This is a habit you had on nycga.net & it causes confusion and leads to derision where there is none.

I have found sticking to the subject of the discussion & speaking for myself to be a great method for keeping the flow going.

Yes, we have direct access to the hub.

Whatever group "owns" a hub has its own access. You might be thinking of the main site, where, right, only IO admins can post.

natgat2104@gmail.com, the public facing email (as natgat2014@interoccupy.net) "owns" the hub
Current admins, me & Julia. Could use a couple more. Lost Brian and Dallas.
I can do copy/pasting, add media, but not coding to set up pages or the back end of the hub, like the pictures - for those we have to wait for an IO admin - usually Andrea. That's one reason for asking for some group coordination ahead of time, to avoid the "we need this tomorrow" crisis with no one to post.

If we have folks with tech, coding capabilities, they can have that kind of access as well.

**And another plug for the nearly finished website that needs some techs.** the stand alone site could have many more users and be more interactive.

Sorry, Justin! I thought the subject of the discussion was which photos to put on the hub; I thought that was resolved, which is why I asked what I did.

Interoccupy has been the spine of NatGat organizing from day 1. The hub is the best, safest place for ppl looking for info. The website is probably not going to be up and populated with info in time. Both websites created for Philly and for Kalamazoo were destroyed and unavailable when we needed them most. Coincidence , maybe, but it's a better bet not to but time into a stand alone website for this event and use the InterOccupy networks

We now have a donation page, updated home page, are putting up buttons for sharetribe and loomio and getting together a FAQ page
[please add http://natgat2014.titanpad.com/22].

Let's get the images up.

I don't think we can use the double sunrise - still waiting for clarification.
