Online meetings
Hi guys,
I'm thinking about trying to have more frequent "touch base" sessions for the group.
I think the meetings once a month is enough, and given the logistics inviolved in getting everyone to come to meetings I don't think we can have them much more frequently until people are nearby or on the property.
However there seems to be a lot of decision making and task progress checks that can happen in between meetings and make everything roll along more quickly.
What I'm proposing is that we have a meeting or a check-in day (not necessarily all on at the same time) here on Loomio once a month (or more frequently if needed) to check in on how different tasks are going, if people need help with things or to share information. An example is the By-Laws and Rules editing and ratification. It's a pretty mundane task for a face-to-face meeting, and I think it could be achieved much better with each person at home on their computer already having read the rules and bringing up points they wish to clarify or discuss. Or reading thru it together but online.
Please let me know what you think! I would like to get at least an answer back from everyone so In know that you are all still on Loomio.

Proposal: That the Bullimah Group designates one Sunday per month (on the alternate fortnight from the regular meetings) as a check-in day, where members will be present on Loomio for any decisions, information sharing or task progress updates needing to be done.

unless the group wants to have it on loomio. I'm not available sat or sun as I have a remote firs aid training workshop. I'd be able to contribute online sunday night if you all want to do it that way

Well, we'll be travelling down to Coffs on Sunday afternoon/evening so don't know if we'll be able to be on Loomio. We're staying in Coffs until Tues while the van gets wired for the trailer. If there's wifi at the caravan park we could get onto Loomio on Monday.

Hi Tommy & Georgia, We're at Coffs and we can get dropbox on the laptop, but we're pretty buggered tonight so haven'tread the by-laws. We promise to spend some time on it tomorrow when the brains are in better shape - we could maybe log in to Loomio tomorrow (ie Monday) night? Any particular time or just leave a message?

We've gone thru ALL the by-laws! Have made notes and queries - how should we communicate this to you? I didn't want to change your copy but can add in our bits highlighted in a different colour if you like. We particularly like the very last by-law but think the project co-ordinator should show everyone how it's done - also to reduce his maybe inflated sense of self after achieving impossible tasks almost unaided!

Hi mum, thank you for going through. If you can add your comments as annotations then we can comment there as well. Annotations can be added if you open the document in dropbox but dont open it in editing mode, just reader. Right click and add a comment i think.

So I looked at the bylaws in "Documents for Lawyer" and didn't see any comments- did anyone leave any, or am I just not seeing them? Or are they on a different copy?
