FIRST SOCIAL VIDEO CONFERENCE MEETING

It was discussed at the last IC video meeting (26/9/14), that there may be a need to hold purely SOCIAL, NON-WORK based video meetings on a regular basis, just to let people get to know each other a bit faster and to answer any common FAQ’s. (The IC a group of 10 people already meet via video conference for 1.5 hrs each fortnight). As well as the fortnightly IC meetings - soon each sub-working group will start holding their own meetings as well - but those meetings will be purely work-based. For example the Newsletter Delegate will hold a meeting with all the members of the newsletter group, and that whole group will workout how to coordinate ITSELF and how to start on work tasks in order to produce the newsletter.
So anyway, I hereby suggest that we hold a regular purely SOCIAL VIDEO MEETING starting with a FORTNIGHTLY frequency, with the FIRST meeting being held Friday the 10/10/14, @ 6pm.

This video Conference meeting will be for purely social purposes and will be casual. It will be held using Google Hangout Video conferencing. I think this is a great idea, and research shows those who are social outside of work are more successful.

In future when trying to come to a group consensus on the meeting day or time - we will need to use Facebook multiple choice polling perhaps - as Loomio Beta does not allow multiple choice voting as yet.

We might need to see what platform can provide a large meeting. I think Google Hangouts has a limit of 10.

Please note also that in the future the day or time for this meeting will change - it will be up to the group to decide when to hold it.. But as i am coordinating the first meeting i needed to hold it at this particular day and time, and i already have to attend the IC meeting on this day from 4pm-5.30pm, so 6pm (or 6.30pm) should be convenient for me.
