OuiShare emails info and help thread

OuiShare emails current situation:

All new ouishare emails (since 2015) have both smtp accounts and forwards in Webfaction; a couple of old smtp accounts are stil in OVH. About half of the Connectors have only a forward address. There are connectors who always send out from their personal mail addresses so they might not need a smtp account at all.

Previously (until Sept 2014) most connectors got forwards and could configure their Gmail to "send mail as…" without smtp authentication. Today it is no more possible for new configurations so if you need to send out you need smtp account (username+password). If you didn’t have one & now need one, or experience problems with sending emails, write @auli on slack or comment here.

NB! By default smtp accounts do not equal mailboxes. That is, by default all your e-mail goes directly to your forwarding address. If you want to read your email via webfaction’s webmail page or download separately via desktop programs like Mail/Outlook/Thunderbird, it is possible but you have to tell me :)
