Keep loomio group private or open up to public?
Our initial thinking was to keep this private to lower the cost of collaboration - on the other hand putting everything in the public domain from the get go is more aligned with our values and makes it easier for people to discover the project and jump in.
Thoughts?
I'm leaning towards going fully public but could go either way.
Lets go public, I don't think people are going to bash down our doors all of a sudden. However, I don't think we should take the time to have a community manager and solicit lots of random individual open source contributors or anything. Strategy should be more about partnering with other orgs.

We're now open tot he world.
but are still in passive recruitment mode and not actively looking to grow our contributor base outside of folks we know or stumble across our work.

i support being more public, as i think our core members can provide a backbone for more contributors to connect while keeping a general focus.
