Kastor asks:

Who will do all the stuff that needs to be done?

Who is the enthusiastic admin team?

I think it makes sense to start by naming what responsibilities we're each already carrying, so we all know the situation as it stands.

I'm the only administrator for CiviCRM, which runs on its own (expensive) server. I'm also maintaining the SM-to-Civi data pipeline, which runs on my machine in Tamera.

I'm the primary admin for the GreenGeeks server, with Joshua as secondary, which hosts these sites:
* verlag-meiga.org (maintained by Diego)
* sabine-lichtenfels.com (maintained by Joshua and Stephanie)
* icsa.tamera.org (maintained by Joshua)
* kanban.tamera.org (maintained by me)
* innumerable tamera.org subdomains for development (maintained by me, Joshua and Manuel)

I would also name the really specific things that definitely need decisions. Just the wishes, no ideas for solutions. Ideas should go on the right, as proposals, not comments.

My wish:

All my present IT responsibilities ought to be carried by a team, instead of me personally, because otherwise a big chunk of Tamera infrastructure is reliant on a single individual who's only been here since early 2015. That's no fun for me or anyone else.

I think it sounds like a very good intention to get a team for this!
I can also think about taking on some tasks, but I have to say that I am not very consistently reliable at the moment. I just don't have a regular life.

I definitely FEEL responsible for keeping the tamera gitlab / dev sites working - and I will see how it is with the tamera.org site.

As to other stuff, I don't have any ideas / proposals. I don't have an overview or impulse.

Changed the meeting time.

I think it would make the most sense for me, Kastor, Joshua, Ruediger and Manuel to meet, make a list of positions, and start to fill them out. (Knowing that whatever we decide on can and will change, as we move with the whole.)

The way I would do it is to have one list of servers and one list of services.

Each server should have one primary admin, and one secondary. Both should know what services are running on the server, and be able to intervene if things go screwy. Also, it should be clear who it belongs to: the admin? The IGP? Ilos? Tamera?

Each service should have one primary and one secondary admin, too. (Examples of services: CiviCRM, tamera.org, pub)

Primary admins are responsible for doing the work of maintaining the server/service in good condition. Secondary admins only have to know how to do the work; they become responsible when the primary admin is incapacitated.

If someone has a better idea, we can do it another way, but in any case it seems like it's time for us to meet.

If we agree, the outcome is:

We meet at 10:00 AM, on Monday (the 13th), at the Landhouse.
