Rebranding this campaign

Y'all, I've been thinking about this. "Buy Twitter" does not speak to the average Joe--who thinks they can do that? They'll assume it's a message for somebody else, you know, the 1%. It also doesn't signal what you're trying to achieve. Call yourselves TwitterCo-op or Co-opTwitter and you might get more people interested!

Stephanie: Where were you during the hours of our anguish?

Some of us are moving in this direction, but less in regards to Twitter; you might peek at this thread on building an Online Platform Acquisition Co-op @stephaniejokent

The name "We Are Twitter" is in use, not sure how "Buy Twitter" and "We Are Twitter" are all connected, quite new here but they seem to be so would one brand under We Are Twitter be better, to me it sounds more appealing and gives a better sense of community and hope.

I think the branding is probably in flux; see Danny's article which highlights the recent livestream panel that had several experts talking about implausibility of #buytwitter (while at the same time suggesting is is viable, but maybe more long-term and with other platforms as better targets). The effort is alive and well, of course, just in flux in terms of branding IMO (though others may disagree!). As I mentioned above, there's some consensus coalescing around the formation of a Platform Acquisition Co-op, possibly even under the Internet Of Ownership banner, as @ntnsndr suggested in another thread.

Hey, @stephaniejokent! This is really on-point. Given the opportunity to start organizing shareholders in a serious way, and connecting with the "Internet of Ownership" initiative, I've been thinking about a new option: #WeOwnTwitter
