Pop-up for logging in/ creating account
When I'm browsing a Reddit thread and decide I want to comment, I click login, and a small pop-up appears with fields for both login and create new account. The thread I'm interested in stays there in background. Loomio already does a good job of returning the user to the page we were on before we decided to login, but I really like not even leaving that page to login. It's a tiny difference, and hardly a priority, but I just think it helps less confident users feel like they know where they are, and remember what they wanted to do before they decided to click login. Maybe something to do with associational memory not having to be searched when the user returns to the page, because the visual cue remains there in the background through the whole login process?
This is definitely how life should be.
Dependent on us moving to a fully angular login flow, but we will get there.
this is a simple and elegant improvement. i hope it's easy to do!
ionic popups seemed easy even for a beginning student like myself.
I thought I'd throw this out there as an experiment I worked on last week; I reckon this will be a thing which goes into the product in the not toooo distant future.
This has been prioritized in this sprint and should be live before the end of next week.
This is now live!
Clicking 'log in' while already in the app will now pop up a modal which will make your login experience easy and breezy.
This also adds some other nice improvements, like prompting you to log in when attempting to view private content while you're logged out (such as landing in the app via an email link)
Happy to hear any comments or feedback. ❤️
Clicking a proposal link from Inbox on an iPhone 4 today gave me this…
Cool idea
