Team Visioning Retreat in Barcelona

D Dani Public Seen by 187

We've seen a lot of changes this past year including a relocation of our home office in Barcelona. It's a high priority for teams that work remotely to gather in shared physical space periodically to connect, discuss, and strategize together; meeting up for things like DevCon, while they get us by, do not fully meet the purpose of a team retreat.

So, let's get together!

We can use this thread for any decisions that come up including date, agenda, scholarship funds, fun side adventures etc.

It will be great to also state both personal and collective intentions for coming, surface specific obstacles that may be prohibiting anyone from committing as well as opportunities for engaging peripheral participants more deeply!

Barcelona Retreat Schedule Closed Sat 11 May 2019 11:01PM

Alright we need enough schedule to do all the things, enough spaciousness to be resilient, and enough advance notice to arrange the logistics.

This proposal is to establish arrivals between 5/29 and 5/31, these days are for the planning and preparation team to activate the space and organize the materials.

It is also to confirm that our retreat will officially start on June 1st, I would love for everyone to be onsite by the 31st, so we can sleep in the same place Friday night, and have breakfast together on Saturday :) (looks like Gustavo might be the one whose arrival on the 1st will get the party started for real).

This proposal is NOT to decide what we're going to do each day. The planning team can work out all the fun details ( with plenty of open space for ... ), and put it forth closer to end of May.

We'll have through the 6th dreaming, eating, playing and scheming together on the future of Giveth, with some love (and strategy) given to the direction for the Giveth DAC, the Circles, the Roles, funding opportunities, contributor engagement, the Unicorn DAC, the Website, DECENTRAL, and some Catalonia connection times as well.

And for the Commons Stack, Association and Token Engineering.. we will get out the house! A weekend at the castle in Cardona is for those who can stay longer and go a little deeper into the future of giving, and into the countryside of Spain from either the 7-9th or 8-10th, depending on pricing and your responses to this proposal.

This will conclude our duly ordained event, at which time any and all are free to return to the Barcelona office for further closing festivities, hacking of the things, sharing publicly, and oversharing privately.

Clarifying questions, overlooked perspectives, and other points of contention encouraged - we can discuss in the Community call on 5/9!

sounds good... Cardona is on a bit of a hold since common stack is behind schedule and its hard to commit to funding it :-(
