The group looked a bit empty, and I wanted to learn how Loomio works.
This seems like a test to me.
We have been struggling to get a legal structure in place that will allow various open source organisation and companies to join in with us into a legally binding working group.
It was thought we could be a Limited Liability partnership (LLP) but after speaking, to a friend who is a barrister, this would be a mistake as it would leave everyone very exposed, to the will of any single person that decided to sign off on a debt of any sort. This is not an attractive way to get people onboard and will in the end cause more problems than help solve.
So we are trying to work out what will be the best way to setup this organisation so anyone wanting to join us has ownership in the project and that those already invested are kept protected by any people joining in on an equal footing. That is where we stand right now.
