I am reaching out to all you wonderful folks...
I need you help :) I am running another crowdfunding campaign..this time for my role with Roimata Food Commons. The project has reached the point where we really do need to resource someone to be Kaitiaki of the project and for the wider community.
If you can support by pledging, donating rewards that would attract support from your city/town or by spreading the word...I would be most grateful

Roimata Food Commons is flourishing and champing at the bit to step up a level or 2...for this we need to make our project managers role paid and as close to full time as possible. We need crowdfunding to hold this position for 6 to 12 months, then leverage the success to pull in private sector support or develop financial sustainability. We want to move away from being dependent on public sector funding. We are calling this role Kaitiaki @ Roimata Food Commons...and will hold the vision for wellbeing for the neighbourhood ecosystem :)

What a day...what a rollercoaster of a day...!!

It is nice to end it on a positive...it is not the way we would choose to get media coverage..however it is great to be able to tell our story 💚
Today it was a story of resilience, positivity and support ❤

Thank you to everyone for your words of support...please spread the word about how our community is working together to create the Roimata Food Commons 🙏

If you would like to offer support...a pledge to our crowdfunding campaign would be amazing. Establishing the Kaitiaki role will enable Roimata to engage more people in our community, thus helping to prevent more acts like this :)

Please share our story and what it means to you with your family, friends and networks...you never know who might want to support us on our journey :)

Just thought I would give a wee update....

Roimata Food Commons made its crowdfunding target of $20k on Monday evening...so I am now able to work and get paid to do that work every week :)

Also the grafts took on every tree bar 1 that were sawn off...so a happy-ish ending to that whole chapter :)
