ECA/Commons at the Degrowth conference Mälmö, August 2018.

Thank you so much for sharing this!

I believe it would be an excellent idea to have an Assembly Session, as well as a more academic session on "Commons and Social Solidarity Economy" that could serve as a kind of "sample/rehearsal" of the conference I am organising for November 2018 at Cooperativa Terra Chã in Portugal, which I also hope/expect will have significant participation from ECA members.

I offer myself to organize a panel session on the topic in Malmo, as well as to co-moderate the Assembly. Ruby, would you like to co-moderate with with me? We were a great team at UniverSSE2017 in Athens, and I believe it's about time we have a "round two" ;) !

Does anyone object or have different or additional ideas for this proposal?

Thanks Ana Margarida for your reply!

Some of the suggestions that have come up for this proposed (ECA) Commons Assembly at the Degrowth conference are (if we forinstance imagine the Assembly could consist of a few different discussion rounds)
- the Commons and commoning (so it is felt bringing to the forefront the commons and commoning initself would be usefull at the conference. Could then develop how that could be done.)
- Policy & Municipalism ( somehow a big picture, yet also reaching to the concrete small practical steps discussion on how creating space for the commons and commoning in our cities, from Southern to Northern Europe (the conference takes us to the Nordics, what can there to be learned from Municipalism wave) , and beyond Europe (efforts are being done to bring also some global south actors to Malmö, the dialogue to be extended as such)
- sharing/informing/discussing on the ECA process itself, where ever we stand at that moment.

Are there still at this moment any others interested in taking this forward at the conference?! Any other comments?! On the basis of this and any further comments, we could try to do a registration of the Assembly and its intent, and see for the reaction from the organizers,
