HS2

HS2 is due to be built by 2030 at a proposed cost of £76 Billion. The plan is a new high speed railway, cut through countryside between London and Birmingham and then on to Manchester. 3000 houses will be demolished for the first section, 119 of them listed.
We're interested in better ideas as well as discussion on the validity of the current plan.
