This community started off with a casually-created Discord, which currently has around 115+ people. That said, Discord doesn't feel like the right platform to have a lot of the conversations we're having. Conversation threads are all mixed together, context gets lost in history, and anyone joining a conversation has a hard time figuring out what we're particularly talking about right now.

UPDATE: I found some instrux -- https://zulip.readthedocs.io/en/latest/production/deployment.html#putting-the-zulip-application-behind-a-reverse-proxy -- so will try them out next time I have the motivation.
ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
It looks like Zulip needs a reverse proxy configured, and that's something I've not yet been able to conquer -- so, abandoning this for now. If there are any folk out there who are familiar with that particular tech, I could probably get all the other bits working with Apache.
...or if there was funding (~$20/mo.) to pay for a whole separate server just to run nginx, I could do that, if I had an nginx expert on tap (the last time I tried to use it, it was unstable as heck) -- but I don't think nginx and Apache on the same server will work.
