I am completely with Gina Miller that the focus needs to be on sooner rather than later (rejoin) before too much irreversible or hard-to-reverse damage is done. And to find a way to appeal to the hearts and sentiments of those who are now very disappointed and realise what Brexit and the current deal mean (not use too many messages, not try to convert everyone). But also, as she said, that we need to be respectful of the pandemic situation and not come across as purely caring about Brexit. However, that the situation at the moment gives a lot of ammunition to lay bare lies and bad choices by the government, both regarding the pandemic as well as Brexit.

I expressed an interest in that meeting. A few days ago I hunted for the way in and couldn’t find it. Then a reminder popped up after it had started. Don’t know what happened. Glad it was encouraging.

Glad I didn’t join the ‘red wall’ one then as I felt buoyed up by Hutton and Miller - though did think she was being optimistic.
