Interview for Earth Matters Radio Show

SR Samantha Rose Public Seen by 385

I would like to interview at least 1 person about the CSA for the radio show Earth Matters of which I'm a co-host. For a total interview time of 15 min max. The questions would include: why do a CSA, why are you involved in the CSA Start-Up team, what benefits does it have for growers, consumers, the environment, and what are the steps needed to set it up. Plus any personal or anecdotal info you wish to share related to the topic.

You can either come into the FreeFM studio on Collingwood St. or I can phone you up. I need to book the studio time. At the moment the available times for the studio next Monday are: 9:00 to 10:00am and 3:00 to 4pm. Please let me know if you'd like to be interviewed and if you are available either to come in or to be phoned and which time you prefer. I need to book the studio by tomorrow if possible before it fills up.

Thanks, Sam

Hi Sam, I am willing to volunteer but I think there are others that would be a better fit as I am probably the most distanced person from the CSA. If others are unable to attend I would be available for the 9 o'clock spot.

Thanks, Rob for your offer. I'll book the 9am. If anyone else would like to interview, we can do 2 interview with different questions to get at all angles.

How about interviewing Frank on the radio? And maybe a CSA grower in America or Canada, where the movement is strong already? In time, there could be interviews to people doing research on this type or organization, or on agroecology.

The interviews can be recorded of course, edited and broadcasted on the radio at a convenient time, and uploaded on-line as pod-casts...

Any good?

I interviewed Rob and he was the perfect person for the job. Tune in to Earth Matters on FreeFm 89.0 this Wed at 5pm or Mon 2pm is the replay. If you miss it live, you can go to the FreeFM website and listen to the podcast for Earth Matters 23 Aug. In the future, I could play a podcast of a CSA initiative or farmer in the U.S. or call up Frank for another perspective. I'd also be interested in Benadicta's and Fungai's perspective as migrants who come from an organic farming upbringing.

That's brilliant! I'm looking forward to listen to the interview. Maybe you can share here the URL with the interview when it's available on the FreeFM website.

Aaahhhhh, so many points I wanted to touch on that my nervous brain prevented me from thinking about. Thanks Sam, you were awesome and I hope it turns out OK!

Here is the link to the podcast on urban agriculture that I did the following week. I see urban agriculture as being part of the CSA initiative. http://www.accessradio.org/Player.aspx?eid=bb4d9a17-3e54-485e-8900-4575fef63721
