I think there are other platforms where there are more people communicating.
We should research where they are and commit to consciously leave Loomio, and move to consolidate community and discussion in one place.

if there aren't 20 people in this group in a couple of days, it has low odds of self-sustaining. I think moving is the best step forward

people have committments after IDEC, let's give them a chance to gather themselves and reorientate in this direction

I think we need to wait for longer! And I also think loomio is the wonderful place to that us discussion, but it was a new things, so it will take a long time to start.

my experience of digital communities is that they tend to compete for limitted (usually teacher) time, and in squabbling they end up putting off all users. It would be a shame if this were to happen to IDEC conversations.
However, from the few conversations I had about using Loomio like this, most people did say they were interested but had other committments immediately following the conference..
I would hate to see people finish those commitments, come here and find the ruins of what might have been :)
