Ben De Cat uit Roeselare (1962-2020)

Hello fellow Pirates,

We have sadly been informed of the loss of Ben De Cat, who represented our Pirate Party in the 2012 elections in Roeselare. He passed away on 21 april 2020.

A ceremony will take place this Saturday 2 may, as you can read in the obituary notice.

Geachte Piraten,

We werden helaas op de hoogte gebracht van het verlies van Ben De Cat, die onze Piratenpartij vertegenwoordigde bij de verkiezingen van 2012 in Roeselare. Hij is overleden op 21 april 2020.

Aanstaande zaterdag 2 mei vindt er een ceremonie plaats, zoals u kunt lezen in de rouwbrief.

Nous avons malheureusement été informés du décès de Ben De Cat, qui avait représenté le Parti Pirate aux élections de 2012 à Roulers. Il est décédé ce 21 avril 2020.

Ce samedi 2 mai une cérémonie aura lieu, comme vous pouvez le lire dans le faire-part.

I don't remember him, but the registry is still open: shall we leave a message signed by pirates? Something like "Farewell Ben. Ahhhr ! PiratesBe" ?

I think it's a good idea. I'll publish that tonight unless someone thinks it's wrong. I don't know how long these registries stay open, so I wouldn't risk waiting longer than that.

English will do but if someone could translate it in dutch, I think it would be even better.
