Living Room Carpet
Hello friends! We got a new living room carpet from the Law & Order event a couple weeks ago. I find it to be quite esthetically challenging. I feel it hides our beautiful floor and really harshes the vibe. I would like to get rid of it OR have it rolled up when we're not using it for some specific purpose. How do you all feel about this? Is this the right way to do Loomio?

I agree about it not being that aesthetically appealing (and it is already getting dirty) so I think we can get rid of it. It has been the only thing that has ever reduced the sound really well for events - was super effective - but I think we can bring the current carpet in the entrance into the main LR area to help with this for future ones!

If we end up getting rid of it, Max has offered to take it for a project that he is working on that involves growing plants on carpets.

Also we've talked about using the carpet to create acoustic panels for the living room and conference rooms. We have a lot of material that can be repurposed for this.

My preference is for the carpet to be upcycled to the garden project and to use nicer carpet for panels that can be hung from the ceiling and not seen. Which was suggested by Jackie in the meeting. Marcos had also agreed that he didnt want the panels visible

@Alex Qin this is a great discussion thread! Next step is to review the comments (and check the meeting notes) and set up a proposal! It sounds like the proposal will be about what to do with the carpet. I'm happy to help get that going.
