allow vouching of new members by existing members
Pirate Praveen PublicSeen by 75In Indian Pirates, we need support from two existing members to a member of certain sub groups like "initial members". Currently we manually setup a poll. It would be great if this option is allowed as a group setting. When a new membership request comes, all members should be notified. Minimum support required should be set in number or percentage. We don't consider any negative votes, but that could be optional for those who need it.
@praveenarimbrathod can you please design how this would work exactly? Maybe draw a picture?
Add a setting to group - 'need vouching by existing members for new members'.
Once that is selected, minimum number of vouches option should be activated. A radio button for absolute number or percentage could be given.
When a new membership request comes, all members should be notified. In pending requests page, option to vouch for a member with a comment should be available. Once required vouches are completed, approve button should be visible and an admin can approve. To bootstrap, admin can add members initially. I hope its clear now.
Sounds like a cool idea for a plugin
