Preparing for events or meetings on Loomio saves you the frustration of several different conversations and resources being scattered across several email chains. Start one thread per event; for a board meeting you might use one thread to pick a date, collaborate on agenda-setting, post minutes, record actions & follow-up on actions. Edit the thread context, which always stays at the top, to let people know what kind of participation is being asked for right now. Especially if they missed the meeting… you can attach audio, link notes, or embed videos too, helping people to jump right into any ongoing conversation. Probably won't make meetings that aren't daytime for next couple months or so but will come when I can to anything else!

Sorry I have a friend visiting first part of that week and then am away for work - I think it might make sense for me to put my energies into the growing group rather than spreading too thin and not being very helpful at anything..! perhaps quarterly we all meet together?

Growing Proposal for LoveLand Closed Tue 19 Oct 2021 10:03AM
I would like to pitch an idea, for using a small portion of the space at LoveLand to start a small growing project. I am attaching the proposal-would it be possible to discuss at the next steering group meeting?

I think a successful (!) flower business would work in great symbiosis with the veg production operation, attracting customers, making the plot looks more attractive, and luring in beneficial beasties to the veg area.

Great idea :)

Hi Liz, I suggest editing this proposal title to indicate more clearly what we're voting on... It's currently ambiguous whether 'Agree' means 'to discuss at next meeting' or 'to proposal'.

Interesting proposal Liz, definitely good to have an example for us to respond to! I suppose we need to think about whether having independent private businesses operating at the site is what we're after and if so, how much space is available for it, how it would fit in with everything else, whether it is totally separate or integrated, how spaces would be defined (and how to ensure people know not to use things in those spaces) etc.etc. Would definitely be good to discuss at the next meeting.
