Code of Conduct, etc

Hi all,

I am currently working on a Code of Conduct, and thought I could also create the following:

Disciplinary Policy & Procedures
Equal Opportunity (Harassment and Discrimination Prevention) Policy and Procedure

Bullying in the Workplace - Prevention and Response Policy and Procedure
Maybe - Occupational Health and Safety Policies

I'll do a draft and get them to you as I finish them. If you would like me to not create any specific policy/procedures or add one I have not thought to, etc, please let me know.

Sounds great Emma! BUT i suggest definately leaving out Occ Health & Safety - its not worth the work atm...

I would really like to hear from you about how you feel about our current structure of SOL atm. Is it simple - or is it complicated to outsiders? Are we transparent enough? Do we have fair policies and proceedures for adding new people to the Inner Circle? Do people understand what we mean by Sociocracy/Holacracy? Is that too complex for people? Have we organised ourselves in a more complex fashion than say ordinary businesses or other community organisations? Does everyone really understand what the Inner Circle is? Can we do more to explain all these things in simple, easy to understand policies or terms?

PS.. feel free to take your time ... realise that it will take some time just learning how to fit into SOL and use Loomio and realise how our meetings work.. etc etc.. Try not to overload yourself with too much work atm... but also feel free to go go full-bore into work - if you really want to.. but just keep in mind to reserve some energy within yourself for dealing with the daily/weekly confusions and frustrations that naturally occur for all of us here at SOL..

Its all because this entire party and its own workplace - is held entirely on the internet - and accessable only really by computer. That in itself is a huge challenge for everybody involved. And i think we need to write up a communications policy... how many emails are appropriate to send each week? Who should be included? is the email system that we currently use working? How do other businesses/organisations manage this? (i have no idea!) What things should be resolved via phone or video conference ? what methods are fastest? etc etc..

Sorry i have just heaped more questions onto you and given you very little answers. One of my biggest difficulties atm with SOL is trying to workout what things we need to do first and which things we need to leave to later.
