I have long thought about organizing community buyouts and thought about it when my local ski resort - Whistler - changed ownership (recently sold for $1.4 billion). The coordinators right now are @ntnsndr @arminsteuernagel1 @tommcdonough and myself. Robin Chase has been invited but has not joined yet. I've made a ticket with more background.
