Business plan idea - Hemp Clothes

Here is another idea based more on the Twin Oaks style of being really good at one thing.
Basic idea is to grow hemp (or kenaf which is a legal cousin of hemp with all the same properties including cancer fighting and is already being grown in Kentucky and possibly Florida as well) and use it to make clothing.
I especially have an idea to make wrap pants and "hill tribe" style shirts. Basically making them custom tailored and with original artwork. However we can make any type of clothing that everyone agrees on if this plan is chosen.
I think this would require more advertising and perhaps travelling to trade markets and such but it would also require less buildings on our community and we would not rely on the need for people to come to us.

Forgive my ignorance, but isn't hemp illegal in most states? I know it's not in Canada but if this is going to be a thing that would mean we would have to be in a state where it's legal.
From Wikipedia....
Colorado, Vermont, California, and North Dakota have passed laws enabling hemp licensure. All four states are waiting for permission to grow hemp from the DEA.

Yes that is why I added kenaf as a viable alternative. Should have titled it kenaf instead of hemp really.

I like the idea, do we know anyone that knows how to weave on a loom? lol

Thumbs up to hemp clothes. I am thinking about the specialized "niche".
